The capital of Thailand is Bangkok and it has the longest name in the world: Krungthepmahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahadilokphop Noppharatratchathaniburirom Udomratchaniwetmahasathan Amonphimanawatansathit Sakkathattiyawitsanukamprasit, which means: “City of Angels, Greta City of Immortals, Magnificent City of the Nine Gems, Seat of the King, City of Royal Palaces, Home of Gods Incarnate, Erected by Visvakarman at Indra’a Behest.”

7. One hundred years ago, the northern area of Thailand was covered in thick forests but now only a quarter of forest is left that is why Thailand banned logging.
